Should I play WoW?
So I've been looking at World of Warcraft and thinking about playing. Does it consume a persons life? The election is over so I have a little more time but it might cut into the new organization I'm starting. Is it fun? Full of immature a-holes? Do I need to have friends who are already playing when I get started?

Help me decide folks.

1. Crack ...

It's totally electronic crack.

And of course as an electronic crack addict I am compelled to encourage you to try it. :)

does joining a guild matter? Can I start out doing solo games where I don't interact with others?

4. Yes, you can ...

I'm not a joiner. I actually dislike online gaming because of this push toward such things.

You won't be "famous" as a player or get the super-mondo-awesome-wow treasure, but you can still have fun.

And end up addicted.

7. I almost lost my job because of WoW addiction
Edited on Fri Jan-16-09 12:47 AM by rcrush
Back in 05 when it came out. I started playing 12+ hours a day and not sleeping enough. I quit in 06 and again 6 months ago but I'm still fighting the urge to install WOTLK.

All I did while I was at work was think about playing WoW. When I was sleeping it dreamed about playing WoW. WoW was the first thing I did when I woke up and I would usually play WoW until I would pass out at the computer.
