Another Miracle...today in New York...all escaped..
Edited on Thu Jan-15-09 05:17 PM by Stuart G
This post was made a while ago about a plane crash in 1992. All escaped then, and all escaped today. I don't know why or how these things happen. Very rarely to people survive a crash on take off, but all did today. For whatever reason they did, we have seen something special. Here is the link to the previous post..I am sure you know about today. It is all over Latest News here..

IF you are bored at looking at all the posts, here is the direct link to the TWA Crash..TWA flight 843

I was thinking...have we seen any legitimate miracles...? Something we could all agree on, and those alive then,,could have read about...Why? Well this Obama election is something I never expected...And to me ...it is good news..great news..
News that makes me smile..feel good...Have I ever experienced that kind of feeling before?

Yep, somewhere in the 90s ..I felt that wonder. But when was it? How was it real?..Yes, I had it on video somewhere..a piece on the news...about an airliner that took off and crashed, but everyone got out..only minor injuries..Lots of people...But I googled it..no answer..so I looked at airline crashes etc...I wasn't going to go down and try to find the video tape among 4 or five hundred tapes..and I figured.........somewhere on the internet..it is there...and here it is...hit this link...yes it will connect..

3. pssssh.. NYers aren't tough.
Calling yourself tough doesn't make you tough, it makes you an arrogant prick. :P

2. It's not a miracle, FYI.
It's a testament to good aeronautical engineering and piloting skills.

7. Ferries
Whoops
I was trying to figure out the spelling. Took me a while.
In an ill advised google search I put in "Manhattan Fairies"

6. that just shows the skills that American pilots have
they train for this sort of scenario their whole lives, and the majority will never have to test these skills. But to suggest a miracle was at work is disingenuous.

8. Yeah, odd landings only happen in America
If this was British Air, they'd have been feeding the fishes

9. i'm not saying other countries have inferior pilots...
only that we have a good network of pilots, aviation companies, and federal regulatory agencies. The fact that we have so few many plane crashes is pretty awesome.
