Happy National Movie Day to all the non-Christmas celebrating DUers!
To everyone else, Merry Christmas!

My family and I saw Slumdog Millionare which was fantastic and everyone should go see, and then we had our traditional meal of Chinese food, which was also fantastic.

I hope everyone else had as great a day.

9. Thanks but I think I have a few months ahead of
me. I sustained a complete tear of the rotator cuff in my left shoulder in a scooter accident. You know in the scheme of things, it could have been much worse.

I guess it could have been worse, but that can't be any fun at all to deal with. Hang in there!

5. We went with friends to see "Milk"
and then for Chinese food. "Milk" was amazing and actually very timely.

6. I really want to see that...
I'm thinking next weekend. It looks so good.

They showed a preview for it before my movie today, and the audience clapped for it. I thought that was pretty cool.

:hi:

11. I'm looking forward to seeing this movie - Is Penn's performance
as good as I'm thinking it is? I didn't know what the movie was about but I was fascinated by the snippets of him in the few previews I've seen.

It is timely - if not a wee bit late, perhaps... : (

It is based on a true story, is it not?

Need to check the Google machine again, I guess...

14. He was amazing!
Yes, it would have been nice if it had been released before Prop 8 came to a vote.

Yes, it's s true story. You must be pretty young if you know nothing about the murder of Harvey Milk and the mayor of San Francisco.

7. We did the Chinese food thing too.
I went over to my son's place, and we pigged out on General Tso while watching a Guillermo del Toro marathon on his giant TV. Nice way to celebrate.

10. Hellboy I and II
And Pan's Labyrinth. I'm looking forward to "The Hobbit": the guy has a fantastic imagination.

12. good stuff!
I LOVED Pan's Labyrinth.

If they had to get someone other than Peter Jackson for The Hobbit, then he's the right pick.
