3. I have noticed some performance issuses today
could be the result of the rash of ghost postings.

It's also possible that this little "trick" could prove to a vulnerability hackers could exploit (depending on the sites structure)

It could also be recorded in the error logs, and fill them with meaningless info. This could serve to bury important error messages.
