Did you ever find your parents' stash of Christmas presents as a kid?
My brother and I did and we thought we were so cool. We were about 5 and 8 and we knew everything we were going to get. Then we discovered on Christmas morning how boring that was.

We never, ever even thought about looking after that.

3. Personally, no.
But the story goes that when my mom was 15 she found where her mother had stashed the already wrapped Christmas presents. My mom went through and unwrapped hers and then re-wrapped them.

I think that year she was supposed to get her own phone and line, which she really wanted, and she was checking to make sure she got it.

5. You know, I was just thinking about that as I squirreled away Jr's presents last week
I have a hazy memory of coming across mine by accident, and I'm pretty sure I actually walked away and practically erased it from my memory, because I didn't quite want to face that fact that my presents came from my family and not Santa. Denial is a beautiful thing.

7. I used to search the house for candy as a kid. I had such a sweet tooth and was never
allowed any candy or pop or sweet deserts. I'd start looking in all the hiding places a few weeks before Halloween. I got caught once.

10. some of them, but not all
My parents were really good about hiding them, but I'd search for weeks. Eventually they started leaving them either in my dad's office or the locked trunk of a car.

11. Once, by accident
My mom and dad knew I found it, and they finally settled on an excellent hiding place for our gifts. There was a hope chest in our living room that always held quilts and heirloom stuff, and they simply started hiding our gifts in the hope chest, because my brother and I never messed around with it that much except for using it as a bench. Pretty crafty of them.
