I am FED UP with these f*cking cats walking on my desk
and turning my computers off and shit while I'm at work.

They didn't use to walk on my stuff.

Now it's a fucking free for all.

:nuke:

That is all.

1. If they're on a power trip, you got a problem
but I taught my cat the strictly off-limit places:

Kitchen Counter
Computer Table
Dining Table (when I had one)
Computer Chair

The trick is, you have to give your cat cool high places that it IS okay to go, nice cat bed by a windowsill is usually enough to make them happy, but if they can have a shelf or something that's higher too, they will not mind respecting boundaries once they know what they are.

I did have to be VERY firm with him to get him to quickly grasp the concept.

Most of the nice places to sit here are all owned by the cat. . . .

4. They have tons of such spaces
and will have even more when we move to our new apartment in a couple of weeks.

AND I'll finally have my own room with a door that closes for my home office.

In the meantime, I'm slightly exasperated.

7. Masking tape, the length of the place you don't want them, along the edge, sticky side up.

You have to be home at the time though because it will stick to them and freak them the hell out, and you will have to chase them and get the tape off.

11. What is this?
A Cat Invasion? I've heard of people getting ants, roaches, and even rats, but never have I heard of a Cat Invasion. How do you even deal with such a thing? :P

Cats want ALL THE ATTENTION, RIGHT FUCKING NOW!!111!! Look at ME ME ME MEOW. I'm Series!!!1!! That's what cats are; HUGH narcissists. I know. My cats remind me every minute they are awake that they used to be worshiped.

Yogi is CONSTANTLY getting on my keyboard or standing right in front of the monitor WHILE I'm typing. He knows I can't stand it when he does that, but he does it anyhow.

I have found that if I make a little room in front of me but below my line of vision to the computer monitor, he's compromises. Usually, I just sit up in the recliner, fold my legs, and pat the spot in front of them. He gets there and sleeps.

He then sprawls out and takes more room than I gave him. He hangs half off the recliner deep asleep; if he fell down, he'd break his neck. So, I get to spend the next two hours in agony holding him up and rubbing my legs to wake them up. My legs always nap with Yogi, because they don't get blood flow all folded up like an accordion.

I think I can identify with what you are saying. :patriot:

12. I had to build a shelf to sit above my keyboard so I could work. The cats can lie on the

shelf now.

Unfortunately, they're still hard to see through when they decide the mouse cursor is cool to watch. Which is often.
