I'm still groggy from general anesthesia
Ask me anything.

I may or may not reply (depending on whether or not I fall asleep).

:-)

6. Thanks... the first shot did..
didn't notice any difference with the 2nd shot. The pain doctor (who gives the shots) is amazing, though. He has another plan if this last one doesn't work... something about changing the pathway of a nerve. He said I could go to his office and look at pictures. haha. I must have had that blank look I get when I don't understand something! LOL

7. Wow
changing the pathway of a nerve sounds interesting.

Did he mean physically moving the nerve and re-routing it, or something else?

I have a nerve in my left arm that was moved to make my elbow replacement surgery easier, no problems at all with it, but the consequences of a screwup are huge.

9. He explained it as taking heat, with a needle as narrow as the tip of a pen...
it does sound interesting. It sounds hopeful to me, too. The doc said it could work as long as a year. Hey- when you're talking about C5-C6 surgery is a last resort.
