Well, one reason Circuit City is in bankruptcy - Charging $69.99 for delivery

The first big screen TV I purchased back in 1995 had free delivery (from the now defunct "Sun Electronics)....And in those days, the big screen TV's were big, bulky, & weighed a ton...

Now, the TV's are much lighter & less bulky, but unless you have a Ford Expedition, etc., you'll still need to have it delivered....I recently got a new Mitsubishi big screen & needed it delivered...Was told delivery is $69.99, (note: I only live about a mile from the store where i bought it)....They said it's a $69.99 delivery for anything, not just TV's..

And it's not just CC, Best Buy is the same thing, $69.99 delivery...

Just another fine example of businesses' price gouging customers....Fuel prices are dropping, no reason to charge such crazy fees to deliver something....It's hard to feel sorry for Circuit City's situation, when they treat customers like that.....Good luck w/Chapter 11..

1. You could rent a vehicle and do it yourself for less than that.

My rental truck for my cross-town move didn't cost that much, including fuel.
