love.
out of my 10 member artist's co-op, it seems like there is always one person with some sort of mother thing, or authority thing, or thing thing that focuses on me. (i have been the pres for 4 years.) one leaves and another one comes. the current one, although she seems very level headed, etc, has stepped up to take her turn. she argues every thing. i find myself having to dig through the by laws just to convince people that they have to be good group members, and do shit that has to get done.
i have been trying very hard to be pro-active, reaching out, trying to get her to talk it out, or whatever. she freaks out. i wish i could find a way to not care, but the immortal words of casey stengel keep ringing in my head-

The secret of successful managing is to keep the five guys who hate you away from the four guys who haven't made up their minds.
Casey Stengel (1890 - 1975) US baseball player, manager
"The Gospel According to Casey."

on this count, i fail miserably. i am just not there enough to accomplish this part.
i definitely have to make someone else take this stupid job (pres). i do tons of stuff for these people, and get shit for it.
argh.

but really, i spend too many days wondering if i really need to be an artist, and need to do clay.
