Poll question: Did you have to call the cops today?

Three tweekers were just about to mix it up in front of my house. :banghead:

Called the cops, four cars came. Apparently like, 5 other people called too. :banghead:

2. If I needed to I could have just flagged a car down.
There's cop cars all over my city today because of the fires.

3. As a matter of fact, I did. I ventured out once today, to toss a bag of
used kleenex and other trash in the church dumpster. When I open it, there's a bike in it. This happens every once in a while. Apparently, people steal bikes to ride downtown, and just toss 'em in our dumpster when they're done with 'em. I don't know how they get home. The cops have asked us to call 'em when this happens. So, I did. The most, well, only interesting thing to happen to me all week.

Yours is better.

4. I had to call AAA. Does that count?
My niece has her learners permit & I took her out driving for practice. She did good, so we stopped at Starbucks for a treat. She left the keys in the ignition & locked them in. Thankfully, the engine was off.

5. no, we only had to call once when an arrow ended up in the front yard
the cop looked at us like we were a bit nuts. He said someone must have been practicing.

6. I don't have any neighbors, no tweekers either.
Sometimes I have to herd the neighbors cows back to his place though. Trust me, it IS a lot better than a tweeker fight. I will NEVER live in an urban area nor will I stay in suburbia. The farther away from that environment the happier I am.

9. Does last night count? That was less than 24 hours ago.

I noticed a van in the parking lot with its window smashed, looks like tweekers, crackheads or some other variety of scumbags were looking for ways to finance their next fix...

Thankfully, it wasn't my car broken into last night, but I didn't want to waste the karma, so I called the cops. At the least, the report might be correlated with other reports, and a pattern may be discovered that could help them find the scumbags, or the reports could encourage the cops to have more patrols in my neighborhood to discourage them.

I've been parking my car lately so that it's visible from my apartment balcony - I have fantasies of taking my shotgun and going Charles Whitman on them if they try to break into my car...

10. No, but I did yesterday...
I was driving home, and the roads were slick. Some idiot (idiot#1) came speeding by and tried to cut off a car (idiot #2) that was tailgaiting the car in front of him. I heard a "bang" and the next thing I knew, idiot #1 spun out and ended up turned in the wrong direction on the shoulder of highway, hugging the guardrail.

I pulled over and called the police, but the guy drove off before they got there. Idiot #2 didn't even slow down.
