Well, I wasn't expecting that (My bumper sticker leads off an ad on DU)

Years back, I sold a bumper sticker idea and a button idea to Northern Sun. I don't think the button caught on, though they're still selling it (Birth Ritalin Prozac Viagra Death), but the sticker seems to have done quite well. It read, "I love my country, but I think we should start seeing other people." (An indicator that it did well is that they eventually asked permission to put it on a t-shirt, and sent further royalties for that. I think the result is awe-inspiring, much better than the original one-liner and can take nearly no credit for it at all: http://www.northernsun.com/n/s/8030.html I still took the money, though.)

Anyway, I saw an ad in DU's margin with my one-liner as the 2d sticker (ok it didn't really lead off) mentioned. Guess I should have taken the per-unit royalty instead of the lump-sum payment after all. Oh well. (It's the CarryaBigSticker ad, by the way.)

I bought it at a peace rally a few years ago. Don't have a car to put it on, though.

I've never put one on it, as ironically I seem to have some subconscious phobia about bumper stickers.:)

Though as I say I get no further royalties from individual sales, thanks for buying my sticker anyway.
