2. I can get one for free from my company
But I'm having a medication issue right now, so I think getting a flu shot would make my chronic condition worse, so I'm holding off at the moment. However I think people should get one if their health permits because there are people (like me) who can't get a shot for health reasons and people who don't get it are liable to pass along the flu to others, EVEN IF THEY FEEL FINE (you can be a carrier and not express a whole lot of symptoms)

I'll get one 'cuz I'm old.

Many years ago I got what was called Hong Kong flu (there was a nasty epidemic at the time and vaccinations weren't available in the late '60s) and I thought I'd have to get better in order to die. That's some nasty shit and I don't want to get it again.

20. I have to
the flu can easily kill me. (I have asthma and it's bad.) Here in WI you can get an injection that doesn't contain the preservative. Normally I have about 3 or 4 days of a fever and aches from the shot. We'll see if the preservative-free version is any different.

You heard me. I get sick every damn time I have ever gotten a flu shot. Its a quick easy way to get the flu over for the season. Its also a quick easy way to miss at least a week of work.

I will not have another flu shot so long as I have any choice in the matter.

We work with influenza so the fewer people who get what's going around the less likely recombination is between what's going around and what you're working with if there's an accident.

I hate the flu, and I get it BAAAAD if I don't get the shot. Also, I come into contact with immunocompromised people who can't get vaccinated and I'd feel like a complete and utter douchebag if I got them sick (and possibly dead) because I was too lazy to go get a dinky shot.

51. Fool!
Everybody knows it's energized Yeti semen that protects you from the flu! Cheney gets his flown in from Tibet every fall. The CDC keeps it a secret because it's so rare. Do you know how difficult it is to capture an aroused Yeti? I've heard it involves muskrat pheromones and nude pinups of Barbara Bush: Yetis are elusive, but fortunately they're not too bright. :tinfoilhat:

53. That was the case with my dad
and it turned out it was because he was getting the old shots with attenuated live virus back in the 50s. You can't get the flu from the actual flu shot you get today, because it contains no live virus.

which reminds me, I need my shot - I do NOT want to be sick with the flu this winter when my wife goes into labor...

58. My wife hates me
She gets the flu about every other year unless she gets a shot. When we first met she caught the flu and then got strep throat and pneumonia because her immune system was wiped by the flu. I'm sleeping in the same bed and I didn't even sniffle. She hated me.
