Jesus, it's only the first inning...

1. Yeah, we're gonna lose
Wakefield is either awesome or pathetic. Looks like tonight is the latter.

We went down 3-1 to the Indians last year, but the Rays are way better than the Indians ever were. I don't think we're gonna make it to the Series.

4. Exactly!
And when he sucks, they leave him in too long. As a knuckler, a passed ball can be extra bases which we can't afford against the Rays.

It's not all his fault. The Rays can frigging hit, and they didn't win the league for nothing.

When the Rays hammered him last month or a couple months ago, I was screaming for them to pull him but he stayed in for what, like 6 or 7 runs?

7. The Rays definitely did.
Even practically clobbering Longoria with a broken bat, we couldn't score in the 2nd.

3. Seriously...
:wtf: We're better than these guys and I really don't want to have to listen to LA or Philly fans crow all winter about being the WS Champs.

Yes, I'm saying it. TB can't beat either of the NLCS teams.

6. I'm rootin' for the Phils in that scenario
That city needs a break. Plus seeing the Phanatic party down will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

8. I'm rooting for the Phils just to spite Manny.
He in no way deserves to go to the Show. Dodgers deserve it, Manny doesn't.

9. TB wasn't supposed to beat the Sox either and it looks like
they are going to.

10. Says who?

Tampa Bay has a better regular season record than either the Dodgers or the Philles.

As evidenced through the fifth inning of Game 4 of the ALCS, these Rays are for real.

And I do believe they beat the Red Sox in the season series, too.

5. Make it stop!!
I was just telling Mr. Doggie at dinner that Wakefield couldn't possibly be worse than Becket or Lester, but I am rethinking that.

11. Tampa Bay is the major team that my Durham Bulls go to--
Longoria was just down here in Durham hitting homeruns, now he's on teevee.

I'm not usually a MLB fan, but the Durham Bulls angle has me hooked in the post-season.

:hi:

13. Huh. Stephen King is sitting there reading a book.
He brought a book to a championship game?
