I had been for awhile selling some of my used books, of which I have a lot of, on Amazon.com to bring in some extra cash during these troubling times. And I must say it was working out pretty well and I was making a fair amount of money selling my books there, certainly by a much larger margin that any other avenue I have available to sell used books through.
One of the reasons I had been selling through Amazon.com is because they would pay in gift certificates which I could then take and purchase items I needed, and they have a lot of items besides books that I need and use. The gift certificates payment was working out well as I do not have a bank account and will not be getting one.
Having been one who actually read and understood the 2005 Automated Clearing House (ACH) law that Congress passed in that year I fully understood that with that law money one deposits in the bank is actually not their money anymore and is there for the convenience of the government. At best the depositor has a claim against the account and when you withdraw funds it is at the convenience and by permission of the government. And seeing how most employers these days require their servants (employee's) to use direct deposit only, it is in fact a form of economic fascism that the government has implemented.
Unfortunately, Amazon.com changed their rules beginning September 1st and mandated that they would no longer pay in gift certificates and one must have a checking account to continue to sell books through them. So, on September 1st I disabled my store, cleared all monies owed to me by making purchases and moved on.
Sometime after that one of the last books I had sent out was returned as “no such address” and so I through it on the shelf and forgot about it as it had been sent to the address I had been provided. Then a week or so later I got an E.-mail from Amazon.com wanting me to clear this up, which I wish I could do but not at additional expense to me that I will not be able to recover. So, today I finally got around to responding to Amazon.com about the matter and here is the E-mail I sent to them.
In regards to the below mentioned claim the item was sent to the address provided and was returned as "no such address". Unfortunately, due to Amazon's decision to not pay book sales in gift certificates and only to bank accounts, of which I do not have and have no intention of participating in the US criminal financial system by obtaining one, I am unable to comply as I have already closed my store, cleared all accounts and will be unable to further assist this customer.
Sincerely,
