That's what makes it even worse. Wouldn't be so bad if they were playing worth a shit.

Coarse swearing, nudity, it's got it all. British Broadcasting at its best.

"Christmas Tapes" were compilations made by the BBC and the independent TV companies back in the 1970's and 1980's of bloopers and fake programmes purely for the entertainment of station staff, it was never intended for broadcast, and somehow they got so famous that even some of the leading personalities actually took part in them. It got to the point that if a gaffe was made, the next phrase out of their mouths was "Happy Christmas VT!" because usually the VT department would cut out that tape for broadcast, but save that part for their Christmas tape. However some of the tapes got too raunchy, and worrying about copyright issues, the respective companies banned their production and distribution.

But some of them got leaked out... and can now be found on Youtube.

Also check out the ones for "Rainbow". Rainbow was a kids TV programme, ran for ages on Thames. The cast made an absolute corker using the worst imaginable double entendre and slang for all kinds of "naughty stuff". Definitely not fit for broadcast - period - let alone as a kids show.
