Prominently featured in "The Shawshank Redemption". An astonishing, heart-breakingly beautiful piece of music. :wow: I always tear up at that point in the film...

3. I love it at the beginning; when Figaro finishes measuring the space for their wedding bed
he comes over and starts measuring Susanna. What fun. :D

Is that the one that he plays over the loudspeaker for all the inmates, while he has the door barred? I remember thinking how wonderful that was... It is an amazing film! It's coming out on Blue-Ray DVD soon...I asked my husband for it for either my birthday, or Christmas... I cry at multiple points in that movie...

"To this day, I have no idea what those two Italian ladies were singing about. Maybe I don't want to know. I like to think they were singing about something so beautiful, it can't be expressed in words." Word for word from the movie. One of the greatest ever...

6. Mozart's greatest and most profitable successes were not in the royal court theaters
but in the suburban and provincial theaters attended by the working classes. They adored his music.

B-) Mess all you want... Wow, looking over my previous reply, I came across as really prissy. Very "miffed college professor", don't you think? :silly:

13. I had to write a paper about an imaginary conversation between
Shakespeare and a modern celebrity, I chose Dolly Parton and got an A so I don't need any convincing that Shakespeare was not an elitist :toast:
