I'm currently a graduate student in a program that is all about team/group work. Anyway, Thursday (Today) we have our first presentation for a class that comes with a paper to be handed in. The paper has to clearly show that each person did work (i.e. we all write a section then combine them...no "one voice" rule). Well, during the revision process tonight (The put together paper was emailed out earlier today) a fellow team member noticed that the entire section our foreign group member wrote was copied word for word from a book.
We have 12 hours to fix this problem, the person who wrote it is ESL, and we cannot hand it back over to her and say do it over before class starts. Approaching the professor is a bit tricky, because we, as the group, is supposed to notice these things before we get to the day the paper is due.
For some reason, I think things are going to get really "interesting" when people wake up in the morning.
