I LOVE that movie with a passion. I watch it any time it comes on. That fight scene in particular is just a few steps beyond awesome.

14. Comcast had it on OnDemand a while back.
My Dad had me drive over to his house just to start it for him, because he doesn't know how to work that function.

18. I'll have to keep a lookout on OD.
I haven't had my Roddy fix in a long while. I remember watching that movie as a kid and thinking that all sci-fi action movies should be like this.

17. Actually, Kirk wasn't the first captain of the Enterprise.
If you wanted to make that douchebag argument, you should have gone with Captain Christopher Pike, who was in command for the pilot episode. You could also make an argument for Captain Robert April, but afaik the cartoons aren't canon.

22. You're working at work!?1?
Out of pity for you having to drive into work and wear pants and shoes, I hereby remove you from the Dead To Me list, you poor thing.

BTW, I used you as my example of how to sell an overpowered car to a customer who already has a perfectly good car yesterday in Marketing class. My instructor was impressed.

25. My plan:
1. Build a limited number per year to create scarcity or the illusion of scarcity.

2. Have salespeople market the high end variation to current owners of existing models, in the guise of a test drive "just for fun."

3. Promote car heavily in magazines and tv shows that appeal to car guys.

4. Market only to the niche market: guys with no kids who want performance cars. Emphasize that this car will perform and impress other car guys.

5. Our buyers are overwhelmingly male, either single, empty nesters or DINKs. Likewise, our market is mostly in the wealthier coastal areas where year round temperatures are moderate, and not in places that snow (our car was a convertible, two seater Mustang variant.)

So thanks for the front-row seat of how a guy convinces himself to buy a car he doesn't exactly need. It got me an A on my first assignment. :D I didn't even have to tell the story of you reading Car and Driver while taking me to the airport, though it would have been a nice touch in explaining our target audience.

26. If we're going with the "genesis" argument, then I'd nominate Luke Skywalker.
I have NEVER understood the appeal of Star Wars.
