Is it bad for me to laugh at my Brother-in-law's Sister?
A few weeks ago, she got a tattoo from a "friend of a friend" who used a homemade gun and a commercial needle. She wanted it done cheap, and basically all she wanted was the sign for Virgo, her birthsign, on her ankle.

Well, she got the tattoo, and it beautiful, the only problem was that it looked like this:

Which is the sign for Cancer! To make matters worse, it actually says "Virgo" over the top, and its in reverse!

Just to let you know, the sign for Virgo looks like this:

The thing that's messed up is that the tattoo itself is very well done, but she didn't know what the sign for Virgo looked like, and trusted the tattoo artist to get it right. I have nothing against tattooing itself, even though I have no tattoos, but really, how stupid could she have been?

1. No, it's unavoidable.
I've always wondered what some of the Chinese symbol tattoos really mean and how many Chinese are snickering at them, but at least ignorance of the language and trust in the artist might pass as an partial excuse. Fucking up like the girl you descried is inexcusable. I don't even know her and I'm laughing at her.

3. "she didn't know what the sign for Virgo looked like"
She should be grateful he didn't put a cock and balls on her ankle.

I'd laugh at her.

4. As someone who loves tattoos, but hates stupidity, yes, laugh away.

6. Is this your wife, or your wife's sister in law?
If it's your wife, keep your mouth shut.

Otherwise, laugh away...
