8. The Alabama Defense Force stands ready on I 20
News reports from Atlanta say the Russian and Czechoslovak troops are
advancing on Atlanta on two fronts. The first is down I 85 from Greenville, SC
site of a BMW automobile factory. Second is from Savannah up I 16 and I 75.
Apparently, the US Department on Homeland Security didn't bother to secure
our seaports.

That leaves it up to the Alabama Defense Force to save the day. Gov Riley has
ordered the Georgia border sealed. No one enters or leaves Alabama via Georgia.
Tennessee and Florida remain "watched", but not Mississippi, due to the fact
that, well, it's Mississippi.

Major Ima Disaster of the Alabama Defense Force proclaimed: "Them Ruskies
ain't gonna enter our Natio...State"!

President Bush reportedly told Prime Minister Putin in Beijing: "You can have
Atlanta, but I want Clayton County-near the airport in case I gotta high-tail
it to Paraguay".

16. Cancel those Czechs!
Edited on Sat Aug-09-08 05:07 AM by onager
Poor old addled McCain probably WOULD say "Czechoslovak" troops. Since "Czechoslovakia" hasn't existed since 1993, when it peacefully split into the the Czech Republic and Slovakia. (a/k/a The Velvet Divorce).

The idea of Czechs helping a Russian invasion is hilarious.

I visited the lovely city of Prague in June of this year, and to say they strongly dislike the Russians is putting it mildly.

Along with forcing Czech schoolkids to learn Russian, some of you may recall a 1968 incident in which Russia extended Fraternal Socialist Greetings to Prague. With several regiments of Warsaw Pact tanks.

Which at least gave the Czechs some use for those Russian-language lessons. The Russian invaders...er, I meant "comrades protecting the Revolution"...were reportedly surprised to hear many Czechs cussing them in quite fluent Russian.

And when in Prague, do not miss the awesome Museum Of Communism. Located above a McDonald's and beside a gambling casino. In case you ever wondered how that whole "historical inevitability" thing turned out.

It was a time of shiny, happy people. The shiniest of all worked in the uranium mines.
