My good friend's son would have been 20 today...8/08/08

He was killed in a horrible car wreck a little over a year ago. He was a promising young man...talented, intelligent, and passionate about the same things most of us are here on DU. His death is a great loss to those of us who care about the planet, eradicating injustice, and restoring freedom to our country.

My friend asked me if I'd remember the day by doing some good thing in his memory. I thought it'd be great if all the DUers who read this might do the same. It doesn't have to be a big deal...it could even be something as simple as extending the olive branch to our fellow DUers, so we can reunite our party, and get our candidate into the White House. Or maybe it's picking up the soda bottle somebody left on the ground, or offering encouragement to someone who seems down.

Will you help me honor this young man who left this world far too suddenly...far too early?
