Remind me never to offer to fix somebody's computer ever again, okay?
I spent ages poking around at the kid's dad's desktop, only to eventually figure out that it's not working because his cable connecting his hard drive has simply disappeared into the ether.

He swears he didn't open the case up himself, but I don't know cables to wander off on their own, and it's not there, so clearly somebody tried to "fix" it and had parts left over.

I don't mind doing repairs as a favor, but it would have been a lot faster to fix the original problem than fix the original problem and all of his attempts at fixing it. Did I mention he formatted his hard drive, and can't find his key for XP?

5. And also, never agree to get someone fixed who visits a butt load of porno sites.
That shit causes all kinds of viruses, worms, and problems.

My ex and I tried to fix her up a couple times. But she continues to frequent such sites and gets into more trouble with her PC. Whatever.

My ex told me to stay away, because this gal had so much porn and possibly illegal shit and correspondence on her PC, that my ex saw on her computer, that she was afraid the Feds would become involved and come knocking her door down.

This is the same pig lady that dressed me down very loudly one night for suggesting that she ever had anything to do with porn. And incidentally, the same woman who was well known for showing naked, tit, and twat shots to everyone in the bar of someone she intended to date and bring into the club. Yeah, right, she's not into porn. :eyes:

She needs help again to clean up her PC. Nobody is responding to her requests for help.

7. Boy, you're fast!
I don't care if she is into porno.

But showing such private pictures to everyone in the place, without her knowledge or permission, of someone who you intend to introduce to everyone later, is just fucking rude and boorish.

Some of us did convince her that it was very innapropriate and rude, and that we did not want to see anymore of her pics.

And there was a nightmare of a fight and clash one night when one gal found out this pig shared a very personal picture of her to everyone.

...a friend of one of my old girlfriends once had her tape deck in her car all screwed up. It didn't work. It was a cassette deck, and cassette tape was jammed in it all over the place. I was pulling tape out of it all night. No way it was going to work right again. Anyway, after cleaning it out, she blamed me for ruining her cassette deck. Never again.

13. Back in the day when I used to fix stuff for a living.
My rates were $50.00/hr for repair work, and $100/hr if it was brought to me in pieces. Nobody ever brought pieces a second time.

17. OK: Never offer to fix somebody's computer ever again. Really. I get the requests
all the time, but I get out of having to do anything because I have a handy "suit of armor:" I don't know jack shit about Windows, and I'm not afraid to tell anyone that as many times as needed to make them stop asking. (You'd probably NOT be surprised to know how many time I have to repeat myself when someone asks.)
