1. I know just about all of them.
and for the record, I was born in the early 80s.

Is "Richard Cory" the one from the poem that Simon and Garfunkel adapted into a song?

3. The Small Faces
Edited on Fri Aug-01-08 02:07 PM by BOSSHOG
what a great band they were - "Lazy Sunday afternoon." Also my favorite song way back when was the flip side of Stevie Wonder's 45, "For Once in My Life" "Angie Girl." An outstanding love song. Thanks for a great stroll down memory lane. I still have "My name is Jack" - 45.

On edit: Credited wrong song to the Small Faces

5. I would expect to see a song from the "Hurd" in the top one hundred
That was Peter Frampton's first band. He was about 16.

7. It's a fine list of classics
but "forgotten?" More likely complied by someone who "never knew."

8. exactly
I have heard them all at one time or another, some are still on various media in my collection. But then, I was a kid in the 60s.

9. I was a teenager in the 1960s, and I haven't heard of about 1/3 of them

Of course, for much of that time, I had access only to AM radio, so that could be the problem.
