So, I'm going off meds this week
Or starting to anyway. It's actually going okay. I also already feel more creative, sharper in the brain and more aware. I'm really excited. I just hope my OCD doesn't go nuts down the road. But, it's been two years on the fucking things and I can honestly say I feel okay. They did help. Doc says maybe they finally got the neurons working right so now we'll see.

:-)

1. Best of luck with that, brother!
I can't speak from personal experience, but I watched a friend deal with the peripheral effects of neuromeds for a time. Hope all goes well!

2. As long as you've got a doc looking over your shoulder, I don't see anything to be worried about.
Hope it works out. :)

5. Oh, let us know how you are feeling.....
when you want to.

Our great little guy, our 6 year old grandson, has been diagnosed with OCD and
he is teaching us and we are learning.

6. god, nothing breaks my heart more than a child with it
Kids don't know what's going on the way adults do. Give my best to him. Luckily, buy the time he's an adult there may be much better treatment.

Also, there's a clinic at UBC in Canada with an amazing success rate... I've been refered to it by my doc but haven't gone yet... gonna wait a bit.

7. But knowing what is going on is.....
such a relief to all of us...to be educated on what we can do to help
is like being rescued.

You are successful and smart...I know my little guy wants to be the same.
He has a great support system...a fantastic neurologist and
thanks for the heads up for the UBC clinic...you never know.
