Am I the only one on the planet that doesn't have a myspace page?

Wouldn't even know what to put on it. I opened a facebook account to see if any body I graduated with in 75 was on it. Not even one person, so that account is now worthless to me.

8. Why have myspace when you can have your own space?

Get your own website, host it, build it, put in it exactly what you want the way you want it. All without having to have any pesky adverts.

True there's no link up with others but if done right and someone is real interested in you they could always Google you..

Mind you Google pretty much crawls DU quite well - I googled my DU name and it came up #1...

9. No, and I don't want one.

My biggest complaint is how junky the sites almost always look. Like no one understands good site-design, or the makers of MySpace were anti-"good design". If the young or forever youthful like it, they can have it. If anyone is ever in shock that I don't have one, I point out how badly laid-out out every MySpace page has ever been, and they usually agree. So why the appeal? You want social networking? Try email :)

And I agree with mwooldri about just setting up your own page. GoDaddy and others have excellent rates for everything, all in one place. I'll probably use one of the green-server services out there when I make my site, so there's that aspect, too.
