Edited on Fri Jun-13-08 10:41 PM by chimpsrsmarter
so my daughter and her friend wanted to see this so i took them and words cannot even begin to describe the level of bad. I tried to take a nap, fell asleep for a little bit and about 20 minutes before it ended both girls asked me if we could leave.

10. You should show them the polar opposite.
"The Bicycle Thief." It's a 60-year-old B&W Italian movie and the best thing I've seen in awhile.

I seriously doubt the average teenager would enjoy it.

2. No redeeming comedic value at all?
I was really hoping it would be good. I like Sandler when he on.

3. there were a few laughs here and there but they beat the same 3 or 4 gags to death, reanimated them,
them, stabbed, shot and water boarded them and then still didn't kill them.

I like dumb funny but this just sucked.

5. So,
another comedy where once you've seen all the trailers, you've seen all the good bits? I hate that. Thanks for the heads up. Now that in addition to costing $40 bucks to see the movie, it costs another $20 to get there, we need to choose wisely!

16. well i'm not proud, and there were only about 8 of us that decided the Zohan needed messing with.
i thought Mr. Deeds was the worst AS movie, that looks likes a masterpiece next to this one. Payback for daughter and friend will be fun.

17. I saw that one.
It at least had John Turturro. But then again, he was also in Schwarzenegger's "comeback" bomb "Collateral Damage." THAT was an awful movie.

Actually, in hindsight, AS should have been physically punished for remaking "Mr. Deeds." Harshly.

18. i didn't know john Turturro was even it, i was pretty surprised to see him and Dave Matthews?
wft, Dave matthews, omg does he want to be an actor, oh no, that should not happen. Mrs. Garrett, lanie Kazan, both doing the Zohan, and at least 5 different scenes with AS's naked butt, i wish i was kidding.

20. Well, one apparently is not enough.
You need more 5 excuses to vomit, in addition to the urge to hurl because of the writing, jokes, "acting," etc.

30. I think he is friends with Sandler (Turturro, that is)
It does kinda seem like slumming for him though. I want to know when he's going to be in another Coen Brothers movie. The last one was "O Brother, Where Art Thou?"

21. he is better, way better and this movie didn't even look like fun to make.
everything was just so forced and unfunny. I have no one to blame buy myself, i tried to talk them into something else but they wanted to see it and now they're both sorry. that's pretty bad when two 13 year olds think you suck, that movie was aimed at their age range, i think.

24. He's also supposed to be a Mossad agent, which I find absurd.
Maybe that's the point? But see, it's not in a "That's so absurd it's hilarious!" way it's in a "That's so fucking absurd it's not even remotely funny. How is that a fucking movie idea?" way.

He was also in Sandler's "Anger Management." Almost makes you forget things like "Quiz Show," "Barton Fink," and "Do The Right Thing."

You might fool the fucks in the league office, but you don't fool Jesus. This bush league psyche-out stuff. Laughable, man - ha ha! I would have fucked you in the ass Saturday. I fuck you in the ass next Wednesday instead. Wooo! You got a date Wednesday, baby!

31. I'm sorry you had to be the guinea pig for the rest of us, chimpsrsmarter.
Adam Sandler's career is sort of like Eddie Murphy's....he has done appromixmately one good movie...in Eddie Murphy's case it was "Dreamgirls" and in Sandler's case it was "Punch Drunk Love"...and the rest of the time it's sheer, stupid, painfully unfunny, unwatchable crap that you actually resent for wasting 2 hours of your life watching. In Sandler's case, it has to be that "Adam Sandler's 8 Crazy Nights" horrible, animated piece of shit that *I* fucking resented for wasting my time with. In Murphy's case, they're too numerous to mention, although "The Adventures of Pluto Nash" comes closest in sheer unwatchable crapiness.

Your comments about "The Zohan" exactly echo what I thought just watching the promos....shite, shite, shite. And Sandler as a hair dresser...unfortunately, shamefully, I saw his last movie, "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry"...given the horrible gay panic shit throughout that crapfest, god knows what horrors would have been in "Zohan"

Thanks for doing all of us a service by seeing that piece of shit so that we don't have to. Now, just rent a GOOD movie for tonight and try to get that piece of shit that you saw last night. :-)
