4. Hey dude, got a good Cathedral Hill story to share with you

After work, I usually go out for a quick, 1/2 hour walk/run around the hood. When I go out, I usually carry my license, debit card and a $10 or $20 bill in a money clip, just in case I decide to pick something up at the co-op.

Well today, it apparently fell out of my pocket when I was running. And since I was listening to my iPod, I didn't hear it drop. And I didn't notice when I got home, either.

So I'm sitting here, and I get a buzz at my apartment. Since I very rarely get visitors, I'm figure it's just fundraising or surveys or something annoying. I go down, and a nice young couple has my money clip, with my ID and debit card AND the $20 I had with it. Is that cool or what?

Damn I love this neighborhood. And I'll love it even more when I close on the condo I'm (hoping to) buy.

I used to see him when I used to be able to bus it to work downtown (they moved me to another building on the east side of downtown that would now take me an hour to get to, so I drive now).

The funny thing is, I moved here three years ago from Bryn Mawr in Mpls-- you know, the one that had those assaults and home invasions last weekend? That was some scary shit. Even scarier, that's Margaret Anderson Kelliher's 'hood. :scared:

Those invasions and assaults sucked, but I read in the news that they caught the guy. And that he was a recent prison release. We seriously need to reform how we handle those people so things like this do not happen.

I am at the Gnome frequently enough to have my own ass imprint on one of the booths. When you have time let me know.
