One of my favorite "players." Not a particularly expensive Strat, but I love her sound. Of course, none of these are really high-end instruments, with the possible exception of the black Ovation acoustic.

4. It does...

I bought that one to let me retire the old Yamaha at the bottom. I never much cared for Ovations, but this one is balanced really well- good punchy low end, and the mids and highs are nice and clear, too. I think the textured finish (which is supposedly thinner and more resonant) is a big factor.
