Werner Herzog is remaking "Bad Lieutenant". With Nicholas Cage.

This will either be the best movie of all time or the most laughable piece of overblown pretentious crap since the remake of "The Wicker Man." My money's on the latter.

My background, working with animals, behavior psychology- I was disgusted by Timothy Treadwell's manic-depression idiocy. I know, I should feel sorry for him. In a way I do. BUT I was disgusted by how he went into an environment and crossed the line by introducing humans to animals who should be totally away from dumb-assed-idiot-people.

Also - I did not appreciate the endless interviews with the ex girlfriend ....

The movie irritated me to no end. I could go on and on - I wrote a lot about this a few years back.

I worked with dolphins, killer whales, pinnipeds, wolves and lots and lots of dogs. I observed animals in the wild and reported on their behavior. I did not put myself in their environment to influence the creatures - Treadwell did. He was eaten by a bear because of it.

As a someone with no experience working with animals, and knowing nothing about Treadwell beforehand, I walked away from the movie with the exact same opinion that you hold about him. I can imagine that your experience enables you to see the movie differently, however.
