I hope this container growing is magic as people say
Despite my mood I went out and bought seeds, li'l containers, wood to make planters, container dirt, a sprinkly water pourer, and 5 beers.

Now to read up on what the hell I'm supposed to do next. :)

5. Welp.. I have dirt in peat pots
hung a new birdhouse and have a place to hang 4 planters and 4 birdfeeders. That should do magic.

I'm waiting...

:grr:

6. I am considering outdoor hydroponics next year. (still have some bugs to work out)
There is a GREAT hydroponic supply store in Nashville (http://hydroplant.net/). I have some southern facing land on a slope. I was thinking I could run flood & drain hydroponic growing trays down the slope & have the pump/main reservoir at the bottom of the hill.

The list of problems.
1) There are different nutrient & ph levels required for different plants. I wouldn't be able to plant melons on the same reservoir as I had tomatoes on.
2) I would have to run 100 yards of water pipe from my well in order to get water to the site.
3) I would have to run power for the pumps or buy solar pumps & panels.

The payoff would be great though, perfectly grown plants!
