3. In all fairness
it wasn't written for a high-brow audience.

And "Batman" is an easy tune to play in junior high band.

Ah, memories...

6. El Perro Del Mar has a song that sounds a whole lot like it.
It's used as the music for this video: Chmurka and Black Ribbon
It took me a week after first hearing it on Out of the Box to figure out the hook reminded me of the Banana Splits. ;)

12. I knew a guy who was a production assistant on the show
He told me a story about a time when the dog refused to show up for work because he demanded a raise. The production was being held up, and so one of the PAs called the producer in a panic to ask him what they should do. The producer patiently stated, "Unzip the dog suit, put another guy in it, and zip it back up."

9. Can't play it right now...
because my friend that I am visiting is sleeping, and I didn't bring headphones...

Funny thing was that a work-buddy and I were discussing old TV shows and cartoons and he remembers the Banana Splits! I thought he was too young to remember them, but he sang that song, which I would not have remembered in a thousand years!!

Will check it out later after my poor host has departed for work!!
