Radio Lady: KGW.com led their entertainment page with my movie review this weekend!

So proud of myself I could bust my buttons! The website is a companion to KGW-TV, Channel 8, here in Portland. I am pleased to be able to provide this new content to their site.

1. Congrats, that's quite an accomplishment.
Nice to see your name in print, eh?

3. The weird thing is that the name Ellen Kimball in print is not that unusual.

I've had my share of publicity, believe me. My father was a lawyer, councilman, Vice Mayor of the town of North Miami, Florida, and a consummate politician. He used to say, "Print anything you want, just get my name right."

But there was another Ellen Kimball, a Mormon woman, one of the multiple wives of Heber C. Kimball, who kept a journal when she crossed from the mid-West to Utah in the 1800s. There are even some photos of her on the Internet.

Google my name, and you get lots of information on her, plus a little bit about me.

To clarify, I am not related to her or Heber. I am just related to my father. When my grandfather came from Russia, someone on the boat said, "Change you name to Levine. That's a good name." My father was born in Pennsylvania. His original name, as he told me, was Lazarus Louis Levine, later changed to Leonard L. Kimball. I do not know, and neither do my cousins, what the original Russian name used to be.
