What do you use for downloading music?
What do you use for downloading music? I used to use Napster, then Morpheus, then Kazaa. Now I got a new computer (still shitty 56k though) and I don't feel I should bother re-downloading Kazaa since the RIAA scum is suing people. I want to get some mp3s. What should I do? What do you do?

What are the chances of me being sued for downloading from kazaa? If I don't share my files, can they still get me? Can they still get me if I only download underground artists rather than big names like Metallica and Britney Spears?

Any advice would be appreciated.

5. i use itunes
ya, you havta pay 99 cents a song, but it's generally worth it. They got a huge selection and they sell most full cd's for only $9.99. But you can only get it if you have an apple computer or AOL. Oh,and the sound quality is just as good as it is on a regular cd. I've used Kazaa before and I didn't find the sound quality to be all that good.

just my 2 cents :bounce:

p.s.i didn't like having to pay $25 for Pink Floyd: The Wall, but it was worth it

10. 99 cents a song is not worth it
20 songs, that's almost 20 bucks. Is that worth it? I'd rather pay full price and get the actual cd with case and artwork.

12. because
money would go to the RIAA. only enabling them to sue others. so really that would only be pouring gasoline on the fire.

8. What do you take me for, a criminal?
I would NEVER download about 900 songs from LimeWire on my 20' iMac, nor would I put them all, along with the tunes I copied from my CDs, onto my iPod to enjoy all day long. That would be WRONG!

Fuck the RIAA, don't fear those fools. No one is getting sued for downloading, it's only if you have a massive server running.

it's a client server thing but there are public servers available. You usually have to share a lot to get on though.

25. I never have.
I already have a huge collection of cd's/vinyl, and there's not a whole lot of new music that does all that much for me...I kind of grew out of the "music phase" pre-internet.
