1. I am singing
The Happy Song

Oh I could sing unending songs
Of how you saved my soul
Well I could dance a thousand miles
Because of your great love.

My heart is bursting Lord
To tell of all you've done
Of how you changed my life
And wiped away the past
I wanna shout it out
From every roof top sing
For now I know that God
Is for me not against me

Everybody's singing now Cos we're so happy
Everybody's dancing now Cos we're so happy
If only we could see your face
And see you smiling over us
And unseen angels celebrate
For joy is in this place!

5. Rather sing to myself than listen to the crap that passes for popular music these days.
Sometime you just have to do whatever you can to lift your own spirits, and I've never had any complaints about my voice. Don't like the way I sing, stay out of the Karaoke bar.

22. Except being on the compyter at school trying to write a paper, and the dipshit
next to you is singing the latest Mary J. Blige hit under her breath and trying depserately to hit the same kind of curly-q vocal gymnastic moves. It's literally crazy-making. JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP!

19. No, I mean those people who sit next to you at school or work or
stand next to you in the check out line at the supermarket or whereever, humming or singing something at the edge of audibility - you know them by their annoying habit of overemphasizing sybillants ("s" sounds).

May they all get death of the life. :grr:

because then hearing that person sing is like a little mosquito that you can't swat away. At least those who sing loud have the decency to make a spectacle of themselves and thus provide some comic relief.

I whistle, too. And beautifully, I would add. I know it bugs a lot of people, but I'm a better person when I'm making music. When I'm not making music, I'm a downright angry person. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry. And neither do the cops and the courts...lol.

13. When I was in college, the vocal majors would all do that
I'd be walking along and I'd go by one and they'd just be walking by themselves, singing out loud.

Yes, we all know you have a nice voice. A much better voice than what I have, for sure. But honestly, unless you are in a concert hall, I don't care to have you singing. Out here in the open you just look slightly crazy.

33. I repeat: nobody wants to hear that shit.
You may be playing devil's advocate, but next time you're trying to just exist in public and some asshole sidles up next to you and begins humming the melody to some Usher or Mary J. Blige song, complete with all those slides up and down the scale, forgetting half the words, popping all her consonants, UNDER HER BREATH, you will realize I'm right.

Annoying is annoying is annoying. That shit is OBJECTIVELY annoying.

39. Nope. Save it for band practice, pal.
Unless! Unless! You sing a song in an loud and exaggerated or humorous cartoon voice and intentionally fuck up all the words. THEN you get a pass.

but if you're seriously thinking anyone wants to hear your breathy oratorios while we're just trying to get some work done, then you deserve to have John Goodman fall on you from a great height.

38. Exactly. It's solipsism in very pure form.
Nobody wants to see me masturbate, right? So I should do it in public because it makes me happy? Absoultely not. And i would argue that singing under your breath in public is WORSE than masturbating in public, because everytime a person masturbates in public, a humorous or at least interesting anecdote comes from the experience on the part of the viewer, whereas when someone sings in public, all you get is furrowed brows and ranting from normal people like me who are subjected to it.

41. In the context of normal social interaction?
If you're just walking around idly singing to yourself in public, people may tell you they like it, but they'd be lying to save your feelings.

Nobody wants to hear that shit.

If you're on stage with a band, then that's a completely different story, of course.

48. You'll never meet a person to whom music is more important.
Anyone who knows me will tell you that. I'm a music obsessive, a record collector, a man who, without music, would go completely fucking nuts.

HOWEVER: it is a fact that no one wants to hear you sing out loud.

Sex is an integral part of my life and I love masturbating. I LOVE it! It makes me happy. Do I do it in public? No. Why? BECAUSE I KNOW NOBODY BUT ME WANTS TO HEAR IT. So I'm kind enough not to inflict that bullshit on my fellow humans. All I ask is that you extend the same courtesy.

And as i sadi above, I'd RATHER you do it loudly and out of tune, because then it'd at least be kind of amusing.
