New Trek Movie Teaser Trailer
It's obviously bootlegged...kind of dark and blurry.

Here's a pic of the Enterprise under construction.

4. If the movie's supposedly about the TOS crew
then why is the Enterprise under construction? According to my trusty "Star Trek Encyclopedia" and The Star Trek wiki, The Enterprise was launched in 2245 under the command of Captain Robert April and Kirk's commmand began 20 years later, with the 5 years spanning 2265-2270.

Abrams may have already screwed this one up. If he makes this whole thing fit within established continuity, so we actually do get to see the ship being constructed, the bridge damn well better be rotated 36o port.

5. It supposedly takes place during their time in Starfleet Academy
With Christopher Pike commanding the Enterprise. Or so I've read....

6. The Enterprise would have been launched
at least six years prior still. Pike took command in 2251.

I'm skeptical about what's going to happen here...I've read that the movie may jump between time periods, which could explain the whole thing, but I don't know.

7. Did I spot a Jeffrey Hunter look-alike in that teaser?
Pike would be cool--if they get a real actor this time.

12. I'd seen IMdB pictures of him...
...and never realized that he could look anything like Hunter.

11. Re: "the bridge damn well better be rotated 36 degrees to port"
William Shatner: You know, before I answer any more questions there's something I wanted to say. Having received all your letters over the years, and I've spoken to many of you, and some of you have traveled... y'know... hundreds of miles to be here, I'd just like to say... GET A LIFE, will you people? I mean, for crying out loud, it's just a TV show! I mean, look at you, look at the way you're dressed! You've turned an enjoyable little job, that I did as a lark for a few years, into a COLOSSAL WASTE OF TIME!

I mean, how old are you people? What have you done with yourselves?

You, you must be almost 30... have you ever kissed a girl?

< "Ears" hangs his head >

William Shatner: I didn't think so! There's a whole world out there! When I was your age, I didn't watch television! I LIVED! So... move out of your parent's basements! And get your own apartments and GROW THE HELL UP! I mean, it's just a TV show dammit, IT'S JUST A TV SHOW!

Charlie: Are-- are you saying then that we should pay more attention to the movies?

and are, in fact, just part of a 'teaser'

10. Interesting and
I've been following this for a while being a devoted Trek fan (I even liked Enterprise - which this teaser kinda reminds me of in a way) and maybe I'm just jonesing for more Trek and being naive but I'm cautiously optimistic...I think a 'reboot' is a good idea for the franchise.
