Someone please cheer me up.
There is something happening that directly affects my daughter that is upsetting me. (It has to do with petty sniping and back biting amongst adults that is affecting an organization my daughter is a member of).

x(

GAAAAAAH

I wish the primary person who is being petty and immature would grow the fuck up and realize that it is not all about her, it is all for and all about the kids.

:nuke:

2. You'd think adults would remember which ones are the "adults" -
That must be tough. Sorry to hear you have to put up with it. At the same time, I'm betting you want to set the example for your daughter, so she understands that sometimes chronological age isn't enough!

 hang in there!

4. Oh yeah.
Granted I have my "terrible twos" moments, but geez...

And in essence, this situation just managed to add another volunteer commitment to my plate as the group is splitting and because of the split, the group needs two more co-leaders. I am willing to do it though.

Lead by example for a better world, I say! If you can do it, it'll be worth it!

3. I wouldn't know how to help you, KitchenWitch.....
...Mrs Robeson and I aren't the best at dealing with kid issues - one reason I had myself snipped so we wouldn't have deal with what you're dealing with.

Anywho, maybe this will help to bring the cheer back into your life....

But not nearly as much as watching Mike Tice get fired.

I was in need of cheering up myself and thought, who can do that better than the Empress of the Lounge... the Queen of Snark... where the hell is she?!

Ugh, I just love THOSE kind of moms. :puke:

My Brownie troop leader smacked me once.
I will refer to her as Eva Braunie until I'm in my grave.

24. Wow, that happened to ME
And I think you realize I'm , like...a dude. None of the other spoiled snot moms in my neighborhood would step up, and since I was home by 2::30 every day, I was available.

Those jamborees were murder. Me , 30 brownies, and a bunch of June Cleavers on valiums and vodka. It was the 70's after all.

20. Sorry to hear you're feeling abit down, KW.
I'm not very good at cheering people up- never have been.

People like you make me wish I was better with people, but I'm not
and I never will be.

I'm better with pictures than words, so let me just offer this:

22. On the board is not the same as in real life. I've spent 22 years learning that.
I deleted and rewrote that post 3 times before
I hit the "post" icon.

My first draft was along the lines of a personal THREAT:
"Cheer the hell up right fucking NOW, or I'll PM you
the story of my life PIECE BY PIECE."

Look, KW, I can't do anything but offer you some generic good wishes here,
because I had a daughter once, a very long time ago, and that whole situation
went so bad so fast that even now, 20 years later, I can't even hear her NAME
without feeling a strong urge to run amok with large sharp things.

28. Troop moms are bad, but...
ballet moms are the worst.

The year my daughter was Clara in The Nutcracker probably took
a decade off my life.

Just be your usual sweet self, and your daughter will always remember
that you stood up for her when it mattered!

And resist the urge to toss a thin mint at the woman and yell, "Bite me!"

33. When my kids were in school, I did a lot of volunteer work at their schools...
It amazed me to see how many parents lived their social lives (cliques, rumors, etc) vicariously through their kids! I always thought it was their own problem...until it starts affecting the kids.

Hope it gets resolved soon!
