This was inspired by Spacemom's General Tso post.
A year ago, I was in a small discussion group with the former Governor of Kentucky, who made a fortune with Kentucky Fried Chicken. Colonel Sanders was always just a figurehead. He was once called up to Washington to testify about some aspect of their business. Some Congressman was giving "Col." Sanders flack about using the title "Colonel," and questioned if he had, in fact, ever been a colonel. Sanders responded with something like, "Well, sir, you use the title 'Honorable' in your name. How accurate is that?"
(or something like that--anyway, a GREAT comeback. Nothing to do with food, but if it makes someone forget their digestive woes for a moment, it was worth it).
