It was well below freezing, but they were out there.

1. Early morning kick

for the dedicated souls who never give up. That should be all of us.

Look at those "wild-eyed" thugs!

I LOVE people who are ONTO the administration
and who VISIBLY protest against it.

My husband and I went every Sunday for just
one hour until earlier this month.

I'm too much of a cold weather wimp and we
were beginning to attract some loonies who
kicked our signs and generally were beginning
to harass us.

3. When the loonies in the White House embolden the local loonies, it is most especially the time to

get out and protest each and every moment. These are the attitudes that must be changed or shouted down, for the rest of us to survive.

4. My 12 year old is SCATHING in her attitude....

that we can't change anything with 12 people
standing with signs on a busy street...

I try to get the point across to her that it
is PERCEPTION we are trying to alter. If people
driving by who oppose the war and further oil
grabs see us, they know they are not alone.

They sure as HELL don't get their feelings backed
up by the media or by talk around the "water cooler"
at work.

We usually get about 80% positive response, honks,
thumbs up and peace "vees".

About 20% of responses are negative, fingers, thumbs
down, "get a job" (on Sunday morning!), etc.

Most people just drive by.

It IS important to show people that not everyone is
a "Good German".
