1. Walkabout was great. I'd like to see that again.

My choices, off the top of my head are Fail Safe, Angel Heart, that film about workers in Germany right after WW2 (last scene is in a train car; the name is on the tip of my fingers and won't go onto the keyboard..)

Koyaanisquatsi. Blows me up every time. I'm going to watch it again this week.

Edit: Here it is, the end section. Instant goosebumps. It won't matter to you if you haven't seen the rest of the film.

9. I react vastly to this film.
The ending is horrifying as a metaphor. Yes, the big picture is imperative.

The other film I'd mentioned is Zentropa.

2. Not haunting in a scary sort of way - but the end of The Godfather
Where Michael swears to Kay he had nothing to do with his brother-in-law's death, but then as she walks out of the room, the door closes and she looks back at him and sees the other guys converging on the new Godfather, her husband.

5. Godfather II
That tight closeup on Michael's face - those empty eyes. Everything he cared for he's destroyed and he has nothing left except power.

8. Actually, mine's a recent movie, The Mist
I'm not going to say what happens. Suffice it to say, it's different from the book, and both bleaker and more hopeful than the book's ending. But it stays with you, and not in a good way.
