Name a song that became a favorite AFTER you heard it as part of a movie or TV soundtrack
Here's where the idea for this thread came from:

"Thru and Thru," a Keith Richards song from Voodoo Lounge, was featured in an episode of "The Sopranos." I already owned Voodoo Lounge but the episode made me pull it from the shelf and add it to one of the mix CDs I keep in the car.

What about you?

1. Samuel Barber's "Adagio for Strings" from Platoon
I still can't hear it without revisiting that scene.

2. Pixies - Where Is My Mind?
That was the perfect ending to one of my favorite flicks of all time - Fight Club. I didn't even know who the Pixies were before I saw the movie.

6. Speaking of Triumph...
...I'm sure you've seen the "Best Of Triumph The Insult Comic Dog" DVD. For those who haven't, there's a clip from his very controversial trip to Quebec (they weren't happy with Triumph or Conan O'Brien afterwards)...

Anyway, Triumph starts replacing Quebec street signs in French with ones printed in English. The first two or three are straight translations, and then the next one is "Celene Dion Sucks Street."

10. I hadn't heard The Pixies until I saw Fight Club.
And I'm sure there are more, but I can't think of any offhand.

12. pretty mainstream, but I think "Philadelphia" by Springsteen is a work of art
It's such a strong song I can't believe he wrote specifically for a movie.
