The Obama campaign is pissing me off
I'm going to post a rant here, so that I get it off my chest and don't subject about 18 members of the extended Bluedog clan to it tomorrow afternoon...

I'm pised at the Obama campaign.

During the city elections, they said they couldn't help me, because i was running against another Democrat in a non-partisan race. OK, fair enough, even though the pther guy had already endorsed Richardson.

Then I found out that the campaign was helping out another candidate for another aldermanic seat. This guy was also a Democrat, also an Obama supporter, and also running against a Democrat who backs Richardson. The Obama campaign provided poll greeters and made get-out-the-vote calls on his behalf. They also provided help to a supporter who had absolutely no shot at all of winning (he lost by about a 68-32 margin).

And it continues. Yesterday, Obama spoke at a school less than a mile from my house. No invitation.

Today, he's doing a photo op in my aldermanic ward. No invitation.

Chicago, we have a problem.

Obama's state director is a former Gephardt guy. Obama's state chair is a former Gephardt guy with a reputation for "changing the locks at campaign headquarters when he signs on". The state chair is a lobbyist for the gambling industry, and I have been an obnoxiously vocal opponent of casino gambling in NH. Instead of doing what's in Obama's interest, he's manipulating the campaign director into carrying out his own vendettas. Naturally, the campaign manager won't return anyone's phone calls.

Chickenshit politics at its worst.
