Achy Breaky drumsticks: Britney to have Thanksgiving dinner with Billy Ray & "Hannah Montana" Cyrus
Britney to Miley Cyrus: Gimme More Turkey!

Popwreck Britney Spears was at Petco yesterday, when a reporter asked her if she will be dining at Miley Cyrus' house for Thanksgiving, and Britney said yes. For the love of Hannah Montana!

Earlier this week, In Touch reported that Billy Ray Cyrus invited Britz to dinner with the Cyrus family, saying, "We love her. We would love to be there for you and we care about you." He also stated that Miley is "a big fan" of Brit's and "wants to reach out" to her.

Even though Britney confirmed she would attend their Thanksgiving dinner, considering her track record, Miley might want to go ahead and start passing the yams without her.

1. TMZ's daily "two minute hate" of Britney Spears.
I'm starting to wonder if she's invaded Oceania yet.

4. The only thing I can say about Britney
is she needs to get herself in a place that does not involve the media, lawyers, her money, or fame. My lord this girl is going to eat herself alive before she finds out she can just be herself in Montana somewhere and be happy. :) Or anywhere for that matter. I just hope she finds some peace within herself. I honestly do. I just change the channel now when they have the 24/7 feeding frenzy about every Starbucks the girl has gone to. I mean please. Give all of us a break and focus on healing or get the heck out of her life. Who really needs that kind of attention good or bad? We all go through growing pains and the bubble that she lives in, I am assuming, is keeping her right where they want her to be. A media wreck.

I think if we want someone to blame for this Britney fuck-up orgy we only need to start looking in the mirror. She'll still fuck-up anyway, but the spectacle has become a bit of an erogenous experience for some.

8. We build 'em up, we knock 'em down...
...it's the Sid Vicious syndrome. The guy couldn't play bass. He knew it, the Sex Pistols knew it, but he was an accident waiting to happen.

In the late 1970s, I was the third car in a 3 car pile-up on the Bayshore Freeway in San Mateo, California. I was told that if I was driving five miles faster I probably wouldn't have legs today. The hood was completely crumpled, the radiator shattered, and the engine "almost" was pushed back into the passenger compartment.

As I stood on the side of the freeway with the passengers from the other cars involved...as the cops showed up and reports were written and noses bled, including my own...I saw this yuppie couple slow down, look at us, and smile and laugh as they pointed out their window.

I've never BEEN a yuppie, I've never LIKED yuppies, and when I find myself around them...to this very day...I can see that couple laughing and pointing.

I learned a valuable lesson that day. The world loves a good accident. It's a sick frigging world, and it loves to slow down and take a look at people in turmoil.

Everything in life has a sense of nuance. That's the nuance and the "editorial comment" behind why I post this stuff.

10. "The world loves a good accident."
How true and how very sad. We all have voyeuristic tendencies to a certain degree I think. But I do think it does happen in degrees. This world has become one of instant satisfaction. Good, bad and ugly. Thats the way it goes. I would imagine its here to stay.

9. Absolutely. I agree with that.
Its why I just choose to change the channel. There are so many people that follow every move that she makes and thats kind of creepy to me. Only in the sense that she will do things that we all do. I just cant watch her demise at this point and call it "entertainment" with a good consciousness. Hopefully she will get it together for herself and her children. Outside of that I could care less what she is or is not wearing at the moment.

6. I have a client who's looking forward to retiring in Montana.
He goes there a few times a year to fish and just hang out, and plans to retire there in the next couple of years. As far as Britney is concerned, I feel like she came, saw, and conquered, and now ought to just go have a nice, healthy, balanced life. She's still playing around with the "star" thing...I guess the adulation can become addictive...but the relevance of what she did a few years ago no longer exists. The world's an uglier, tougher place, and the whole "pop tart" phenomenon...the rock press term, not mine...is as worn out as an old shoe.

:toast:

11. Montana is beautiful
especially in the fall. The winter is nothing to sneeze at either. It was the only place that I have stayed in that had road signs stating that the next gas station and lodging would be 200 miles away down the interstate. It was for me the first state that I had ever been in (being from California) that I could see no city lights or electric/cable lines. I actually stopped and took it all in. It was amazing. LOL. But yes, a very open and beautiful place.

12. Don't be like her girl!
That's only so Billy Ray can point to Britney and say "Miley, don't be like her girl."
