Are you familiar with the band, or at least the song? Is it kind of in the hard rock/lots of guitars wailing sort of area?

Me thinks a dj may have played a no no and not listed it on his playlist! I heard f-words and c-words (not talking about male chickens, either)

6. yeah - can't really do you tube on this dang dial-up but I found how to sample

at amazon and no way was that what I heard. I think somebody was being very naughty and now I wonder what it was that I did hear? He played an old Sabbath song, then the raunchy thing, THEN that pop song.

I liked the raunchy song better, but have no idea who it was.

8. there was one kind of funny line about "I'm gonna mow your lawn

with my fucking ________(something I didn't catch)" it was about midway or a little past half, I would say and that was about all I caught of actual lyrics - I was kind of shocked hearing cock and motherfucking in a non-rap song especially in the middle of the day. I don't want to get the station in trouble but man, if anyone sensitive heard that they could really hammer them with a complaint.

10. Could it possibly be a song by Califone?

Alice Crawley from the album Roots and Crowns.

Those Iron Maiden lyrics seem to have a much more repetitive chorus (and less cussing!- what album is that on?)

I listened to all the samples off that Califone album and it just MIGHT be the right kind of sound on some of their songs - they seem to have quite a range of mixture to their music. The problem is the sample for that Alice Crawley song seems to be just a bit of an instrumental intro? Maybe the whole thing sounds like that, I don't know. Kinda like their sound though so if nothing else I found some new music. I'm not very good at searching for lyrics - couldn't find Califone on the site you linked to for those IM lyrics can you check this other? Thanks for taking all this time.:toast:
