When code enforcement people go "too far"
Apparently it can push people over the edge

Man Paints Car In Protest Over Code Enforcement
Mike Cordi said it all started when officers cited him for having a boat and cars in his yard and then warned him about parking on the grass.

So, in protest, Cordi painted his car with messages for code enforcement. There's even a toy battle scene on the trunk of the car to represent his fight with code enforcement.

That'll learn 'em.

1. We had a code nazi in our town for a while...
The folks down the street painted their house purple in protest. I briefly considered decorating our front lawn with ceramic rats, because the guy was freaked out by all neighborhood wildlife...snakes, lizards, oppossums, raccoons...you name it, he wanted to exterminate it. Asshole passed away a few years ago. I can't help hoping he's reincarnated as an oppossum.

2. Trust me, this isn't funny to us! We have one homeowner in our neighborhood who

rented his house to people who participate in road rallies. They park a HUGE trailer with one or more dirty cars stacked on it right on a dangerous corner near the development entrance.

This owner, who now lives elsewhere, comes to board meetings and screams and yells at other homeowners. The man is completely out of his mind. He took turns firing his letters off to the dedicated website and then Scotch taped or mailed letters directly to my husband when hubby was the (volunteer) president of the homeowners' association. It was horrendous.

Two years later, his house is still rented to the "undesirables" and there was an accident right at that intersection in October involving the postal delivery woman and another car. Who knows? It might have been caused by their vehicles occluding the space.

Really awful.
