Former Beatles drummer returning to Delaware
Pete Best' band will play at Kelly's Logan House

One could argue that The Beatles once came to Delaware, although they did not perform here. They took a regularly scheduled train from New York to Washington in 1964 to play a live concert Feb. 11, and the train would have stopped in Wilmington.

But for sure, one of the surviving former Beatles has performed at Kelly's Logan House in Wilmington -- twice. And that former Beatle, original drummer Pete Best, will play a third time at the venue, on Thursday.

"We enjoy playing there, so we love coming back again," said Best of his band. "It's a great little venue with a nice atmosphere."

A bad break for him, but in fairness Ringo was a better drummer. I heard some cuts of Best on the Anthology and he was not that good. Maybe he's improved over the years.
