Saw Elvis at the Mann a few weeks ago (the last event of the Mann season), and he was there with a ballet he wrote based on "A Midsummer's Night Dream" (no dancers, just an orchestra).

Very lovely, but not at the end of a long day (I got sleepy) He also did a few Elvis Costello classics, which sort of woke me up. Would have enjoyed it more if I weren't so damned tired

Don't know what you'll be seeing - sure it will be enjoyable, but can't guarantee that it will have the energy you might be expecting....

Let me know what you thought! My husband is a big Dylan fan and I have always liked Elvis Costello. My husband didn't know who Elvis Costello is, but got the tix so he could see Dylan.

He believes that there has been no new good music since the '60's. :shrug:

Me, I'm playing the 12-3 AM spot at Harrah's tonight, followed by a wedding in Philadelphia tomorrow (for which I'm playing both the ceremony and the cocktail hour, in addition to the usual dinner and dance sets.

if its good. I saw Rancid last year; almost didn't go because I wasn't feeling all that hot, and didn't have anyone to go with. Decided at the last minute to go anyway, and the energy of that GREAT band had me literally jumping up and down with joy before it was over. And I'm in my 50's. Only saw one other geezer there, although lots of 40ish punk rockers. Go see Dylan and E.C. I'm guessing you'll be glad you did.
