6. Duke's Mayonnaise is my personal favorite.
Miracle Whip is pretty good too, depending on what type of sandwich I'm making. It it is a "lite" type sandwich with maybe turkey breast or something like that, Miracle Whip will do just fine. If I'm making a ham sandwich or just about any other kind, I love Duke's.

7. Anyone here ever had fry sauce?
In Utah they serve it at every little hamburger shop. It's 1/2 Mayonnaise and 1/2 Ketchup. The only time I come across it is when I travel to Utah. It's much better than plain Ketchup for fries.

28. Miracle Whip by a wide margin
It has that "tangy zip," as opposed to mayo, which has very little flavor to add. If you're gonna use mayo, you might as well smear lard on your BLT.

30. They have different uses
MW is good on a turkey sandwich because of the sweeteners they use. I like the blend. Mayo has been around for centuries and is basically whipped eggs, lemon, oils and spice. Honestly, I think this is just another example of people thinking that something is too popular so they don't like it.

It's like kids with meatloaf, they hate meatloaf and love hamburger. Some people I know hate to use Mayo but love coleslaw. Some people just don't know what they are eating I think.

Edited on Sat Sep-22-07 05:41 PM by mcscajun
In general, mayonnaise rules over Miracle Whip (but the latter is okay once in a blue moon for certain specific uses), and then of course, there's a home blend of mayo and mustard for great ham sandwiches!
