do you feel compelled to reply to every sentence in a conversation
by saying: 'i know' and, then take over the conversation with your own anecdote of that topic. even though the other person had not even paused. the completion of a sentence does not constitute a conversational pause or, does it :shrug:

I had that happen just today when I was at the vet's office - I was telling the tech about the cat's hairballs and she just busted right in and started asking about his shots. I hate that and think its so rude...
