60 Minutes doing an article on how we're slaves to our electronic devices.
:eyes:

Seems to be nothing more than an advert for geek squad (you know, the company whose employees take your music and stored porn movies and has been busted for PIRACY because the CEO didn't want to pay for the diagnostic software) than anything else.

3. Maybe it was a segway. Or a segue?
I dunno.

4. I'll wait until I can view a clip on my iPhone.
Or maybe download it to my Mac and squirt it over to my AppleTV receiver. Or perhaps use my Playstation3 or XBox 360s media features to watch it. Or I could burn it to DVD and watch it on my car's satnav/entertainment system when I'm waiting in line at the Burger King drivethru.

Gotta go. My Internet connected watch just told me my blog has a new reader comment.

5. About those multiple remotes? Read this:
My daughter's TV needs about a half dozen remotes to operate.
1 for the TV and 1 for the Tivo and 1 for the VCR and 1 for the DVD player, and 1 for the audio and 1 for the cable box and...well...you get it.

When we visit I'm always the first one up.
I go down and start the coffee and then go try and catch some news before Jack comes down and wants to watch Sponge Bob.

If they were just watching cable when they went to bed (long after me) then I can turn the TV on and change channels.
If they were watching Tivo or a tape or DVD then it's some kind of godawfully complicated process of turning something on (or off?) so you can then press 'this' button to get back to just plain ol' cable.
Anyway, it's beyond this geezer's capabilities.

Usually if I can't get it to work I just take my coffee out in the backyard to have a smoke and listen to NPR on my little portable radio.

This morning I'm still futzing with the remotes when Jack comes down.
"Baba (that's me), I wanna see Sponge Bob."
"Jack, if I can get the damned TV to turn on we'll both watch Sponge Bob."
"Here, Baba."
And this little 4 year old kid walks over to the TV, sticks out his little index finger, and pokes the 'power' switch.
TV comes on.
