I have to admit Roddick has talent, but I find his entire persona absolutely disgusting...and I didn't mind the antics of Connors and McEnroe back in the day.

Safin was a 3/1 underdog in Las Vegas, so I took a shot on a great talent like Safin managing one of his "up" days. Remember how he crushed Sampras in the US Open final a few years ago?

I agree, Roddick is a typical modern day basher, no McEnroe brilliance whatsoever. And whenever I see him on a talk show he's got more shakes and hyper energy than anything interesting to say.
